About
I am a writer and tech lawyer. My writing has appeared in the New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, WIRED, and many other outlets. My literary agent is Mark Gottlieb at Trident Media Group.
I am currently researching and writing a nonfiction book, The Power of Print: The Case for Paper & Ink in the Age of Technology, for St. Martin’s Press. Read more in the deal announcement in Publisher’s Weekly.
For several years, I wrote a column for Slate magazine focused on Wikipedia and internet information. My debut suspense novel came out in August 2024. The Editors is a thriller based on a fictional internet encyclopedia. Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist, says the book is “Seriously, genuinely, highly recommended!”
I hold degrees in English literature, business, and law from the University of Texas at Austin and Washington University in St. Louis.
You can find my latest writing in my newsletter, Source Notes, where I cover print, books, AI, and Wikipedia.
